The Department of Transportation (DOTr) of the Philippines has announced that the Quezon City section of the Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line-7, which includes 12 stations, is set to be operational by Q4 2025.
The Tala Station in Caloocan City is expected to be completed by 2026, while the San Jose del Monte Station in Bulacan is anticipated to be finished by 2027. The 22-km rail system, stretching from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, was 70% complete as of May 2024. Upon completion, it is projected to reduce travel time between Quezon City and San Jose del Monte from approximately three hours to 35 minutes.
