Syrah Resources Ltd and unit of Solarcentury has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a hybrid solar power plant at graphite operations plant located in Balama, Mozambique.
The project involves the development of an 11.2-MW solar park with an 8.5-MW battery energy storage component, which will work in conjunction with the existing 15-MW diesel generation power plant. The project will be procured on design, funding, construction and operation basis.
