Ecuador's Ministry of Transport and Public Works has signed agreements of understanding with the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the construction of two road axes: Quito - Guayaquil and Guayaquil - Cuenca.
KEC will be responsible to construct a 324 km road corridor between Quito and the Main Port along with studies of the 272 km Cuenca - Guayaquil road corridor between the Ecuadorian Austro and Guayaquil. The studies will take between 14 and 18 months. This road corridor project will unite the 3 cities and is vital to improve the living conditions of 4 million beneficiaries.
