The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) of Peru and the concessionaire Lima Airport Partners (LAP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to continue the works on the Jorge Chávez International Airport expansion project.
Under the agreement, LAP will be responsible for building a new 180,000 m2 passenger terminal, with the operational date set in January 2025. The concessionaire's investment for the airport expansion PPP project amounts to approximately US$1.6 billion and includes the second runway, the new control tower and a new passenger terminal.
