The NOW Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nokia group to roll out a 5G standalone network in the Philippines. Both parties will focus on the expansion of NOW Telecom’s broadband telecom network by rolling out a 5G standalone network aims to deploy the 5G FWA network in the National Capital Region and offer a broadband plan of up to 10 gigabits per second. NOW group has plans to spend US$ 713 million for the expansion, out of which US$ 152 million will be used in the first three years.
