A consortium led by Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil has closed the financing for the Tampico-Ciudad Victoria road concession, which involves the rehabilitation and conservation of five highway sections in Tamaulipas, located in the northeast of Mexico.
The MXN5.2 billlion (US$273.53 million) project was awarded to a consortium of companies composed of Mota-Engil México SAPI SA de CV, Construcciones y Mantenimiento Roca SA de CV, Grupo Rio San Juan, SA de CV and Grupo R. Exploración Marina, SA de CV in May 2018.
Altogether, the road segments covered by the concession contract have a linear length of 224.88 km and an equivalent length of 279.21 km.
