Redal in Morocco has awarded the Sale wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) concession to the joint venture (JV) of Lantania and Atner.
The concession involves the development of Salé WWTP with the capacity to treat up to 75,000 p.e. with a daily flow of 10,000 cubic meters. The JV will also build a water line to perform pretreatment and extended biological aeration treatment as well as the elimination of nutrients, nitrogen and phosphorus. The estimated investment value of the project is EUR8.90 million (US$9.69 million).
The construction works are scheduled to last 18 months. WWTP plant will provide a solution for the treatment of wastewater from the Moroccan city’s center by installing a new outfall that will direct sewage to the new treatment plant. The plant will then guarantee adequate discharge conditions to the receiving watercourse.
