Morgan Stanley has reached a US$104.25 million in a second close on its North Haven India Infrastructure Fund, bringing the fund’s commitments to date to US$404.25 million.
The India-focused infrastructure fund seeks to raise up to US$750 million commitment. In June 2018, the fund has reached its first close of US$300 million after the commitment from Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation (APFC).
Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) had said in a disclosure that it will commit up to US$150 million to the fund.
The fund will focus on private equity investments in a number of sectors, including energy and utilities, transportation and logistics, telecommunications, broadband, urban public-private partnership projects, healthcare, and education, among others.
