The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) in Quebec, Canada is planning to launch international request for qualifications (RFQ for its Contrecoeur expansion project. The concession will be procured under Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) process that will be open to national and international industry players.
The purpose of the RFQ is to qualify a number of national and international consortia that, over the next few months, will be invited to submit a proposal to enter into a long-term Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain agreement for the future terminal. The terminal will be able to handle 1.15 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) when completed.
