TERLAN Sp. z o.o. has announced the modifications of the contract and the new responsibilities of the contractor for the Wiśniowa water treatment plant PPP project in Poznań, Poland.
The need for modification is caused by independent circumstances, such as Russia's armed invasion of Ukraine and the economic sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus. The sanctions led to a change in the waiting period for the supply of raw materials and a reduction in the number of workers in the construction industry in the Polish market. So, the amounts payable to the contractor will be adjusted to reflect the increase or decrease in prices. Changes also apply to equipment and materials that are intended for work. The amount of the contract has also changed from PLN123 million (US$29 million) to PLN124,024,474 (US$29.55 million). Changes are also made to the account of the possibility for the customer to make a reservation to limit its joint and several liabilities for the payment of remuneration due to a subcontractor or an additional subcontractor.
The project involves the modernization of a water treatment plant on the street Vishneva, Poland. The project includes reconstruction of the existing facilities of the 1st technological line and instead of the 2nd technological line, construction of new facilities that intensify the water treatment process at the Wisniew Water Treatment Plant in Poznań. The project also includes the construction of new and reconstruction of old colliding underground and above-ground utilities.
