Mitsui & Co launches sale of 35% stake in the BassGas project

Japan's Mitsui & Co has launched the sale of its 35% stake in the BassGas project located off southeastern Australia. 

The project is operated by Beach Energy BPT.AX. It is producing gas and liquids from the Yolla field in the Bass Basin off the state of Victoria since 2016 that are then processed at a plant onshore and supplies the Australian east coast market.

Rothschild has been appointed by the company to advise on the transaction.
