PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (Mitratel) has acquired 803 towers from infrastructure operator PT Gametraco Tunggal for around US$113 million.
The purchase brings Mitratel, also known as Dayamitra Telekomunikasi, an additional 1,327 tenants. This comes on the heels of its recent acquisition of 967 km of fiber optic lines, stretching from Jakarta to Central Java, valued at US$5 million. Mitratel currently possesses over 37,000 towers and 30,000 fiber optic lines. Notably, 58% of its towers are situated beyond Java. This expansion aligns with the growing demand for internet services in diverse regions and supports the equitable distribution of economic development.
