The Ministry of Public Works is planning to install a cable car network for Asunción and its surroundings in Paraguay.
The first suggestion was made in 2019 but it has not been possible to move forward due to the pandemic. The proposal is now being redefined and the plan is to review the studies that need to be updated and examine the current lines of work.
The project would consist of three lines: San Lorenzo-Asunción, Southern Access to the center of Asunción (south corridor) and the northern corridor in the area of the Botanical Garden towards the center of Asunción.
The Austrian firm Doppelmayr will be in charge of the cable car system.
