The Brazilian municipality of Pouso Alegre, in the state of Minas Gerais (Brazil), has launched a tender process for the Pouso Alegre international airport concession.
The project will involve the development of an airport in a 5 km² area located near the Cidade Vergani, Curralinho, Fazendinha and Cajuru. The preferred bidder will also operate and maintain the new facilities along with the old airport. The concession contract will have a period of 33 years.
The total project investment is estimated at R$570 million (US$144.2 million) and the concession has a value of approximate R$1.6 billion (US$404.8 million).
Pouso Alegre is a municipality in the southern region of Minas Gerais (Brazil) with a population of 142.000. It is an industrial center with industries in the food sector, textiles, and metallurgy. Many national and multinational enterprises have their plants there.
Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before March 1, 2016.
