The government of Minas Gerais in Brazil has launched a tender seeking a private partner for the Pampulha Airport concession. Located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Pampulha Airport - Carlos Drummond de Andrade project includes exploration, expansion, and maintenance of the airport terminal, support and safety for air navigation in traffic areas as well as operation and maintenance of the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service.
The estimated investment value for the concession is BRL151 million (US$28.96 million). The minimum grant value for the auction is BRL9.84 million (US$1.88 million). The project will be awarded for a concession period of 30 years on a common concession model, which foresees an annual payment to the State of Variable Granting corresponding to a percentage of the gross revenue earned by the concessionaire. The project aims to increase operational efficiency and improvements in the general level of services provided at the airport and expand the capacity to generate revenues.
