Midavaal local municipality in South Africa has announced plans to develop electricity distribution networks on PPP mode. The project will involve use, possession, finance, design, management, operation, maintenance, and expansion of electricity distribution networks in Midavaal local municipality. The concessionaire will be responsible for all core distribution functions as well as non-core electricity-related municipal services.
The feasibility study for the project is completed and approved by the authorities. The procurement process for the project is planned in June 2020 and the RFQ will be published after the mandatory briefing of the project.
