Miami Dade County has awarded the design, build, finance, operate, and maintain (DBFOM) contract to Plenary Justice Miami for the development of the County's new civil courthouse in downtown Miami.
The County Commission has unanimously approved the contract for the project after being deferred in early December.
The project involves the construction of a facility that will replace the existing 1928 courthouse on Flagler Street. The new larger 23-story building will be built next door.
The team of Plenary Justice Miami consists of Plenary Group, the developer and financial sponsor, Tutor Perini is the design-build contractor, HOK is the architect/designer; and Johnson Controls, Inc., the operations and maintenance partner.
