Meridiam reached financial close on the Aragon Roads project in Spain, which consists of the upgrading, rehabilitation and maintenance for 25 years of an existing 183 km road located in the province of Teruel in Aragon between the towns of Andorra (Teruel) and Mora de Rubielos.
The rehabilitation and reconstruction of these roads are expected to reduce overall travel time by 20% and increase safety by improving infrastructure standards. It will also contribute to the region’s growth and the expansion and diversification of regional economic activities, especially tourism, agriculture, and agribusiness. Construction will start at the end of 2024 and should be completed in the first half of 2027, although some sections will be completed earlier.
