The state government of Mato Grosso Do Sul in Brazil has approved the technical feasibility studies for the Infovia Digital Project. The studies will now proceed to the public hearing stage.
Infovia Digital project aims to provide a high-speed data transport service through a high-capacity fiber-optic network infrastructure to all administrative units of the State Government in the 79 municipalities. It will cover the entire state education and health network and all public security units. The concession is scheduled to be auctioned in the first quarter of 2022.
The selected private partner will be responsible for the deployment of 6,950 km of fiber-optic network, free Wi-Fi and television surveillance in 129 public squares, monitoring based on optical character recognition technology on state highways, 15,000 IP extensions, and the construction of the Network Operations Center (COR) in Campo Grande.
