Great Yarmouth Borough Council has sought a Master Developer for the regeneration of North Quay, a Gateway site linking the rail station, via The Conge in Great Yarmouth, Norwich and East Norfolk, UK.
The site, around 10 acres (4 hectares), consists of various under-utilized parcels of land with mixed ownership. It includes light industrial and commercial buildings, residential properties, a car park, and two cleared areas. Located northwest of the town center, the site lies by the river south of Fuller's Hill roundabout, a major road access point. The western edge has extensive water frontage along the River Yare and Bure and is about 200m from Great Yarmouth's railway station via Vauxhall Bridge. The Market Place is roughly 300m east via The Conge link road, and Hall Quay and Haven Bridge are to the south.
The Council has successfully secured GBP 20 million (US$ 25 million) from the Government's Levelling Up Fund in 2023, along with Town Deal and Great Yarmouth Borough Council funds of GBP 5.1 million (US$ 6 million). These funds will be used to prepare the North Quay site by paying for key costs, including site assembly, key infrastructure and unlocking commercial investments in the area.
The deadline for this tender notice is July 16, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
