Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP), the contractor for Purple Line Railway PPP in Maryland, has started demobilizing workers from the construction site. The contractor is now securing the partly completed tunnels, bridges, and ripped up roads. The PLTP will launch a packing up schedule in the coming weeks.

Maryland transit is still trying to negotiate the dispute of cost overruns, but the efforts to secure the construction site by PLTP suggests there is very little chance of solving the dispute. After the departure of the contractor, the project will be delayed by at least two more years in already 2.5 years delayed project. Maryland will try to approach sub-contractors to continue as much of work as possible.
