Anne Arundel County in Maryland, USA has selected Ameresco for the implementation of the solar power plant at the Glen Burnie landfill site.
Ameresco will be responsible for the development and construction of a solar PV plant at a 20-acre landfill site including net energy metering. The company will pay US$3 million in the lease of the site to the county. The project aims to assist in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by producing clean energy by leveraging the unutilized landfill site.
