Public-Private Partnership Service in Philipines has announced Market Sounding exercise for Improvement, Operation, and Maintenance works for Kennon road between mountain city of Baguio to the lowland town of Rosario in La Union province. The scope of works involves installation of countermeasures to rock slope collapse (RC), road slip (RS), and river erosion (RE) at identified sections of the road.
The objectives of the projects are to provide fast, safe, comfortable and reliable means of transportation from Metro Manila to Baguio City, thus providing ease to motorists of major access roads leading to Benguet Province; to mitigate road slope disasters and provide improved highway of international standards; to establish an adequate system to operate and maintain the project as toll roads.
The exercise will take place on January 31, 2020, at 5th floor, Multi-Purpose Hall, DPWH Central Office, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila.
