Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd., as manager of Mapletree Industrial Trust (MIT), has announced the acquisition of a newly built data centre in Osaka, Japan.
The Proposed Acquisition presents a strategic change for MIT to expand its data center operations into Japan. This move will enhance its presence in the robust data center sector, which offers promising growth opportunities. By adding a top-tier data center with a long-term lease agreement and an established operator, MIT will benefit from a stable income stream and bolster our tenant portfolio, further strengthening its position in the industry. MIT will be acquiring an effective interest of 98.47% of the Property at a purchase consideration of YEN52.0 billion (US$366 million).
