The Government of Maldives has signed a contract for the development of the F. Magoodhoo Airport with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
Under the agreement, a passenger terminal and a runway of 1500 m by 30 m will be built. The project will also include the construction of a fire station, a control tower, and a security checkpoint. Additionally, the project scope includes delivering and installing navigational equipment, meeting equipment, and ground handling equipment.
The total investment of the project is MVR231.54 million (US$14.98 million), and is expected to take 550 days to complete.
