The Government of Malawi, with the support of the International Finance Corporation, has launched a consultancy tender for interested firms to provide legal services for the development of the Mpatamanga hydroelectric power plant project.
The selected firm will be assigned as the legal adviser to the government and will provide comprehensive legal assistance throughout the Final Development Phase of the project. The legal adviser is required to select and subcontract a Malawian law firm in relation to the Malawian law issues.
The Mpatamanga hydroelectric power plant project will have a capacity of 350 MW and will be developed on the Shire River at the Mpatamanga Gorge.
The deadline for the submission of interest to participate in the tender is on August 31, 2020.
