Maine PERS invests in Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund

Maine Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) has made commitments to invest US$ 157 million in Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund and EQT Real Estate II fund.

Maine PERS is a US$ 14.6 billion pension fund. Maine PERS has invested US$ 100 million in the Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund and US$ 57 million in the newly launched EQT Real Estate II fund.

Carlyle is raising US$ 2.5 billion in the capital for the non-core global infrastructure fund. Maine PERS is the first pension fund to invest in EQT Real Estate II fund.
