The Government of Maharashtra has extended the concession period for the Ahmednagar-Aurangabad road (SH-60) project of Ashoka Buildcon. The extension of the project will start on December 19, 2018, and will be up to November 22, 2020. The 703 days extension period is attributed to several factors such as changes in the interest rate with respect to BLR and variation in the construction work carried out during the initial period of the project.
The 168-km road project consists of a four-lane in KM 120/200 to 155/600 and a three-lane in KM 155/600 to 162/000. The facility is developed under Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) scheme. Construction was completed in May 2008.
