The Métropole de Lyon has launched a tender for the concession of the design, financing, construction, operation, maintenance, renewal and modernization of the Central West district heating service. The scope of the contract includes the district of Lyon La Duchère and the municipalities of Ecully and Champagne at Mont d'Or.
The current network serves 81 substations representing approximately 5000 equivalent housing on the district of Lyon La Duchère. The network extends for 9 km. It is powered by a central boiler house housing 2 biomass boilers (14 MW in total), 3 gas boilers (39 MW in total) including 2 mixed gas/oil.
The selected concessionaire will be responsible for the operation of this network and its extension in the municipalities of Ecully and Champagne Mont d'Or and all the work necessary for the execution of its missions.
The deadline for the tender is on February 14, 2020.
