Lumpkin County has launched a request for proposals (RFP) looking for a private sector communications company to develop a Broadband Fiber PPP project in Georgia, USA. The County is committed to improving the reliability, speed, and capacity of internet connections for businesses, residents, and visitors in Lumpkin County.
The private partner will be responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the fiber-optic network, which will extend fiber in areas of Lumpkin County classified as ‘unserved’. The authority will submit a grant application to the One Georgia Authority Georgia Broadband Deployment Initiative Fund.
