Launch of tender for construction of new Passenger Terminal at port of Souda

The Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy and the Unit of Contracts of Strategic Importance (Project Preparation Facility-PPF ) of TAIPED, a member company of the Superfund, has announced the launch of the tender for the construction of a new Passenger Station at the port of Souda, Chania, Crete, with a total budget of EUR 12.29 million (US$ 13 million).

The new Passenger Station, which will be built within the port of Souda, will consist of a basement, ground floor, first floor, and mezzanine and will be organized into three sections:

  1. The base (reception areas, validation areas—check-in, offices, customs, tourist police, sanitary facilities, etc.).
  2. The shell (waiting areas with the possibility of separating domestic and cruise passengers, as well as the possibility of including metal control areas and corresponding sanitary areas).
  3. An outdoor roof (belvedere) for departing passengers is open to the view and to the bay, as a possibility to exploit the visual field of the port.

The closing date for the submission of tenders is January 7, 2025, at 11.00 am.
