Lake Superior State University, located in north-western state Michigan, USA, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to private development firms for the development of a 935-bed student accommodation project in Lake State’s main campus in picturesque Sault Ste. The mode of procurement is design, build, finance, operate, and maintain existing, renovated, and new housing facilities.
The objectives and scope of concession are to create modern, attractive residential buildings to support institutional recruitment, retention, and student success efforts, provide resources (monetary and physical) to implement capital improvements across all existing on-campus housing facilities that will position the Lake State residence life program for long-term success, re-align the housing program to meet student preferences and demand, maintain student affordability and accessibility, implement the master plan in an expeditious yet reasonable manner that balances economic viability, student demand for facilities, facility investment needs, and availability of the local construction market, and allow the University to participate in the economic success of the housing system annually.
The deadline is 16 November 2018.
