The Netherlands government has announced the operation stage of the Kulturhus Stompwijk building which houses the village community center and a primary school with a day-care center and library.
Archipelontwerpers has skillfully designed the building with a unique roof shape and orientation, strategically maximizing the efficiency of the solar panels. The building operates independently of the gas network, generating its own energy supply. Moreover, the design ensures top-notch indoor climatic conditions, ample daylight, and excellent acoustics, meeting the highest standards.
With a dual function as both a school and community center, the building boasts two front sides and entrances that align with different ground levels. This thoughtful layout makes the entire school accessible to disabled individuals without requiring an elevator. Furthermore, the long facades feature window frames at floor level, offering a splendid view of the adjacent church garden.
