Dutch telecommunications company KPN has acquired the Dutch operations of Youfone.
The objective of the acquisition is to strengthen KPN's range of brands and extend its reach in the mobile and broadband sectors. KPN and Youfone anticipate sustained growth in the upcoming years by leveraging Youfone's effective business model. KPN plans to keep Youfone as an independent entity within its operations, ensuring a smooth transition and uninterrupted service for current and future Youfone customers, who can continue using the service in the same familiar manner. The acquisition, valued at around EUR200 million (US$218 million), is contingent upon customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval from relevant authorities.
