Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has announced that it is expecting to award the main construction contract for its $50 million Segment-5 at New Ahmadi Hospital Extension in Ahmadi, Kuwait by Q1 of 2023.
The project includes the development of the New Ahmadi Hospital and residencies. A four-story building having a combined floor space of approximately 80,000 sq m occupying 300 beds with provision for a 100 beds future expansion wing and a fully serviced medical facility that encompasses all medical services.
The new residential facility on the site consists of five buildings consists of approximately 10,000 sq m each on two levels which incorporate a total of 254 studio apartments complete with surface parking for resident doctors and nurses.
The tender for the main construction contract was issued on August 21, 2022 and the bid submission was scheduled on November 21, 2022. The main contract is expected to be awarded by February 2023. The project is anticipated to be completed by February 2023.
