KKR has achieved the final close of its US$6.4 billion KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II SCSp fund.
Upon completion, this fund stands as the largest infrastructure fund spanning the Asia-Pacific region. This achievement follows KKR's initial Asia Pacific-focused infrastructure fund, KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors SCSp, which concluded at a total of US$3.9 billion in 2021. Since its establishment in 2019, KKR's Asia Pacific infrastructure platform has naturally expanded, reaching around US$13 billion in assets under management. KKR initiated its global infrastructure team and strategy in 2008, establishing itself as one of the most actively engaged infrastructure investors globally. Presently, the firm oversees approximately US$56 billion in assets under management across over 80 infrastructure investments. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP served as KKR's primary fund counsel for this fundraising endeavor.
