KKR and GIC complete investment in Metro Pacific Hospitals

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and GIC Private Ltd. have completed an investment of PHP 35.3 billion (US$ 0.69 billion) in the hospital unit of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. 

Metro Pacific Hospitals is the operator of the largest private hospitals and healthcare network in the Philippines in terms of authorized bed capacity and revenue, with interests in 14 hospitals and approximately 3,200 beds across the country. The Company is focused on delivering high-quality healthcare solutions to patients.

KKR made an investment through its Asian Fund III, which targets investments in private equity transactions in the Asia Pacific.
