John Laing to acquire assets from AMP Capital

John Laing Group (John Laing), a leading international investor and active manager of core infrastructure assets, has announced that it has acquired a portfolio of three assets from AMP Capital, the infrastructure manager of the Irish Infrastructure Fund (IIF).

The portfolio consists of the following:

  • Convention Center Dublin (CCD), an 8,000 capacity convention center in Ireland that has hosted over 2,000 events and won a total of 60 industry awards;
  • Towercom, an independent telecommunications tower company in Ireland, with a nationwide portfolio of 409 towers;
  • Valley Healthcare, operator and developer of a Primary Care Center (PCC) in Ireland, with 20 Primary Care Centers in operation.

Evercore, Rothschild, Arthur Cox and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett advised John Laing on the transaction, while Dentons, IBI Corporate Finance, Jefferies International Limited, Matheson and McCann Fitzgerald advised AMP Capital and Irish Infrastructure Fund. The deal is expected to close in 2023 and is subject to customary terms and conditions.
