John Laing Group announced that it has completed the acquisition of Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) from Infrabridge.
The CCD is an exclusive convention facility designed specifically for conferences, accommodating up to 8,000 attendees. It holds the distinction of being the world's inaugural carbon-neutral constructed conference venue. With its wealth of experience, the CCD has successfully hosted major conferences for global corporations and associations. Additionally, it has established advantageous partnerships with Irish tourism and hotel associations, further enhancing its offerings.
Following the necessary regulatory clearance from Ireland's Competition & Consumer Protection Commission and the Irish government's Office of Public Works (OPW), the transaction has been finalized. The CCD enjoys several advantages, including secure long-term government-backed contracted revenue and a prime location in Dublin, which serves as the European headquarters for numerous multinational corporations. With the completion of the transaction, John Laing is committed to further developing the CCD as the leading convention destination in Ireland.
