The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will give loans of USD 245 million for development of Legok Nangka waste treatment project in West Java, Indonesia.
This project includes Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and maintain waste to energy plant and supporting infrastructure in 6 municipalities located in Legok Nangka region. The plant will process 1,845 tons per day of waste sourced from 6 municipalities of Bandung Regency, Bandung City, Sumedang Regency, Cimahi City, West Bandung Regency, and Garut Regency.
Pre-qualification for the project is set to be launched in the first quarter of 2020.
IFC and the government of West Java have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on the development and improvement of its infrastructure earlier this year in May. IFC will advise authorities of West Java on funding infrastructure projects, prepare strategic infrastructure projects and implement funding schemes for the projects.
