Janus Henderson Group has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Victory Park Capital Advisors, LLC (VPC).
VPC invests in various industries, regions, and asset types for its established institutional clients. Since 2010, it has focused on asset-backed lending, covering small business and consumer finance, financial and tangible assets, and real estate credit. VPC also provides investment solutions in legal finance and custom sourcing and management for insurance firms. Additionally, through its affiliate Triumph Capital Markets, the firm offers extensive structured financing and capital markets services. The acquisition consideration comprises a mix of cash and shares of Janus Henderson common stock and is expected to be neutral-to-accretive to earnings per share in 2025. The acquisition is expected to close in Q4 of 2024 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
