The Government of Jamaica through the National Water Commission (NWC) has launched a tender process to seek private sector participation for the design, construction, financing, and maintenance of selected trunk and conveyance sewers in its capital city of Kingston and St. Andrew (KSA) under a Design, Build, and Finance arrangement.

The NWC has identified two areas within KSA that are suited for this type of arrangement, Public-Private Partnership, to extend the sewer network. The two catchment areas are:

1. Upper Constant Spring Road - along upper Constant Spring Road from Manor Park to the Sandy Gully Bridge, and surrounding communities; along Manning’s Hill Road from Cassava Piece to its intersection with Constant Spring Road.
2. Mona Heights/Hope Pastures - along Old Hope Road from Papine to its intersection with Munroe Road; Mona Heights and Hope Pastures communities.

Prequalification is open to suitable qualified Firms and Joint Ventures of sound financial status.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
