Italgas finalized the acquisition from Veolia Environnement S.A. Group of the business unit responsible for the concessions held in the water sector in Italy.
With this move, Italgas is initiating its expansion into the water sector. The company will consolidate all its water-related activities, including concessions in Caserta and its province, under the new name Nepta. Leveraging advancements from its gas networks, Italgas aims to enhance service efficiency and reduce losses by 15% to 20%, benefiting the communities served and promoting sustainable development in the country.
Italgas is involved in the distribution and sale of natural gas, as well as the management of the gas distribution network. Veolia operates in various sectors, including water supply and treatment, waste management, energy services, and transportation. It provides services to both public authorities and industrial clients, offering solutions for managing water resources, treating and recycling waste, and optimizing energy efficiency.
