It has been announced that the first stage of Calgary’s Green Line light rail route is set to open by the end of 2026, following the CA$1.56 billion (US$1.19 billion) funding. Request for Qualifications is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2018, followed by a Request for Proposals to be held in quarter one 2019

▶The International Finance Corporation has been appointed as lead arranger for the project and intends to directly provide a mix of senior and subordinated loans of up to €125-million, in addition to mobilising up to €275-million of debt from other institutions.
▶The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has held a two-day sensitisation workshop to discuss the details of the project with market traders
