Interconexión Eléctrica (ISA), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Intervial Chile, has entered an agreement to acquire the Chilean local toll road operator Concesión Costera Cartagena Barranquilla.
The concessionaire operates the Cartagena Barranquilla Coastal road project that covers 146km of roads that connect the two main cities of the Caribbean with a 110-kilometer corridor and covers a second section called Circunvalar de la Prosperidad, between Malambo and Barranquilla, 36 kilometers of the dual carriageway. In addition, it includes the Great Mangrove Viaduct, located on the Ciénaga de la Virgen in Cartagena, which with an extension of 5.4 kilometers is considered the longest in Colombia.
The transaction represents a total investment of about CLP500 billion (US$687.85 million). The deal is subjected to adjustments and pending regulatory approvals.
