Ireland's National Roads Authority (NRA) has launched a tender process for PPP concession to deliver and operate two service areas along the M6 motorway at Athlone and the M9 at Kilcullen.
The project will be developed on a design, build,finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) basis for an approximately period of 30 years. The contract may also include the fit-out and operation of a further service area on the M11 (Gorey), once constructed.
The project involves, among others, the design and construction of facilities for motorists and their passengers, which provide extensive parking, fuel station, toilet block, Garda enforcement area, retail and restaurant/ food facilities.
Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 22 April 2014.
Ireland's National Roads Authority (NRA) is currently in the process of selecting a private partner for the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy PPP Scheme and the N25 New Ross Bypass PPP project.
