The Government of Mozambique has issued an invitation for prequalification for the selection of independent power producers (IPPs) for two 30 MWac solar photovoltaic power plants in Manje, Province of Tete, and in Chimbunila.
The selected private partner will be responsible for the development, finance, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the solar PV plants. Applicants can apply for one specific plant or for both plants of the project.
The project is part of the PROLER Program, which aims at selecting IPPs for solar photovoltaic and wind projects with a total capacity of around 120 MW. The project is funded by the European Union (EU) through Agence Française de Développement (French Development Agency).
