Invitation for Registrations of Interest (ROI) - Northland Corridor – Section 1 (Warkworth to Te Hana) PPP

The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (Transport Agency) has commenced a procurement process for Section 1 – Warkworth to Te Hana of the Northland Corridor.

The Northland Corridor is a 100 km four-lane motorway and is a key link connecting Northland to the rest of New Zealand. It is made up of three sequential Roads of National Significance (RoNS) between Warkworth and Whangārei:

  • Section 1 - Warkworth to Te Hana;
  • Section 2 - Te Hana to Port Marsden Highway; and
  • Section 3 - Port Marsden to Whangārei.

The Project will be delivered as an availability public-private partnership (PPP) under a Project Agreement which will include:

  • the design, construction and commissioning of the Project infrastructure;
  • obtaining private-sector finance for the Project;
  • maintenance and operation services; and
  • the handback of the Project infrastructure to the Transport Agency at the end of the operating term.
