The Government of Colombia through the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced the investment of more than US5.8 billion dollars in such projects as the Magdalena 2 Trunk Bicentennial-5G Concessions and the Sector 3 Ruta del Sol.
ANI signed the deeds to initiate the Magdalena 2 Trunk Bicentennial-5G Concessions project on December 1, 2022. It is planned to allocate 1 year for the development of the pre-construction phase, which includes layout, geometric and detailed design studies and 4 years for the construction phase. Restoration and adaptation work of the sections will be restored from January 12 to guarantee mobility on the road sections.
The total length of the Sector 3 Ruta del Sol project is 465 km, from the municipality of San Roque (Cesar) to the river Y Ciénaga (Magdalena) and from Carmen de Bolivar (Bolivar) to Valledupar (Cesar). The project provides for the improvement and rehabilitation of the existing road and the construction of a second carriageway.
