Investment announced for Broadband fiber network project in Italy

The Cube Infrastructure Managers' (Cube) connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF) has committed to invest in a wholesale fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) /fiber-to-the-office (FTTO) project in Italy.

The project is targeting to roll out full fiber broadband to 130,000 premises and to reach 20+ municipalities and a number of business parks across rural and semi-rural areas.

The estimated investment in the first phase of this project is EUR50 million (USD52.67 million). The total estimated cost of the project is EUR250 million (USD263 million) and it is to be operated by ClioFiber.
